Musicfest 2010 with Kris Allen, Boyce Avenue and JABBAWOCKEEZ

February 6, 2010—The day that I’ve been waiting for! The Jabbawockeez will perform at the McKinley Hill open grounds with the Boyce Avenue and Kris Allen. The concert is called Musicfest 2010. I am excited not only because I’ll see the Jabbawockeez perform again but I have the chance to meet and greet the boys. I won the meet and greet because Ms. Rhiza Pascua asked her followers on Twitter to watch ASAP and the first 5 tweets to tell her which artist is featured in the teaser will get to meet and greet the boys. So I did everything I can to be ready in case the teaser is shown. Good thing that watching ASAP is a part of my Sunday errands. I have tweeted Ms. Rhiza the moment that I saw the teaser with the white mask. And luckily, I was in the first five lucky people who tweeted.
And today will be the day that I’ll get the chance to meet the boys. I was wearing the shirt that was custom-made to show the boys how much I love them. We arrived early at the venue. At about past 6:00 in the evening, we entered through the VIP entrance for the meet and greet and then we have to wait for our turn. We saw the concert’s producer, Mr. Jomari Yllana who is personally initiating the meet and greet. The meet and greet for Boyce Avenue would be first so we have to wait for the Jabbawockeez’s turn.
When it was our turn for the meet and greet, I was getting kinda nervous because it would be my first time to meet all of them. When we were at the airport I only got the chance to meet Joe. We will meet the boys one by one. When it was my turn for the meet and greet, I was really out of my mind. Everything that I did in the meet and greet was not in my plan before getting there. When I was in front of all the Jabbawockeez, I showed them my shirt and asked them, “did you liked my shirt?”. And because I was not in my proper mind, I didn’t know what their response was. All I remembered was they saw that Joe’s name is in red print and the next thing I knew, I was beside Joe and we hugged side by side. And then when it was time for the picture, Joe, who was standing on the side pulled me to be in the center for the picture taking. I hugged him but my hand that was in his waist was shaking (so embarrassing!). After the picture was taken, I gave him my gift and according to Ara, he said “thank you” and he was actually looking at me. I wasn’t looking at him because I was in a craze. And then I went to Phil to shake hands with him and the other guys. In the middle of the handshake with the boys, I told them that “I don’t know what to do” because I was really on a high. I wasn’t looking in their faces, I guess I was shy and just so starstrucked.

Ara and I kept laughing and kilig-to-the-bones after the meet and greet. I just realized that I forgot to do what I was supposed to do because again, just like in the airport, I was in a daze because of the JABBAWOCKEEZ!!!

I have to thank my favorite masked men for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was really amazing and so unforgettable! Thank you JABBAWOCKEEZ!

Jessica Alba not flattered in a girl's plan to look like her

I have heard in Mo's radio show Good Times with Mo on Magic 89.9 that there was a Chinese girl who wanted to undergo a plastic surgery in order to look like Jessica Alba because her ex-boyfriend wanted has a big crush on Jessica Alba.

Now the news have gotten into Alba's knowledge and she is distressed about this news. According to her:

"I think you should never have to change yourself like that. If somebody loves you, they'll love you no matter what."

Apparently, for Jessica Alba, imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery.

JABBAWOCKEEZ's arrival

Because of the Jabbawockeez’s upcoming concert, we were so excited with their arrival. We have learned that they will be arriving a week earlier before the concert. We were so excited and eager to see them again so we have decided to go to the airport and welcome them. We were there early. They were supposed to be at the arrival area at 6:00 a.m. We were waiting for almost 30 minutes when a group of girls screamed which means that they are coming.

When I looked inside, there were guys waving so it must be them. I was ready to wave my folder with Joe Larot’s name on it. When they are finally walking towards us, I saw Ben, Phi and the others. I got nervous because I couldn’t see Joe, I even thought what if he wasn’t there, that he was left in L.A. but then I saw him at the back. He was the last Jabbawockeez walking. They will be interviewed by ABS-CBN. The girls ran towards them but the big guy (their bodyguard) was preventing the girls to be near the guys. When the big guy finally left Joe’s side, I ran towards Joe. He was just right in front of me. I called him and told him that the lei I have was for him. I put it in his neck and then I took pictures of him will he was introducing himself in the camera. I gather all my courage to ask him if I could hug him and he willingly obliged. We hugged. At that moment, I have no idea where Cory and Ara are. I heard Cory called me. She told me to take a picture with Joe so she took a picture of us but she had a hard time taking the picture and Joe asked her if the picture is not yet taken. After that, he became busy entertaining the other fans. He got lost in my sight.

And then, we looked for Kid Rainen so that Cory could have a picture with him. We even had to run after him because they were already asked to go to the van. But luckily, Cory had the chance to take a picture with Kid. When they were already at the van, they keep smiling and waving to the fans. Joe is even showing off his lei, maybe he is saying thank you for the lei that I gave him. I was showing all of them my poster with Joe’s name and their pictures. Kevin even asked me to show him the pictures and he gave me the thumbs up sign. Joe was all smiles the whole time. We went to the back side of the van where I have a good view of Joe. I was waving my folder to them the whole time to let them know how happy I am for their arrival. Before leaving, Joe blew a flying kiss for me which I also did at the same time.

I was really so happy after that encounter. Meeting my idol upclose is something that I will treasure forever.

dreams do come true

January 29, 2010-- i can say that this is the best day of my life! being able to meet, greet and hug someone that i really admire. he might not be Chace Crawford but who cares, he's Joe Larot of JABBAWOCKEEZ! i feel so overwhelmed that he appreciated the lei that I gave him. At the same time, I would like to thank him for signing my little creation for him and the other Jabbawockeez.
